not so much harder to make, just a smaller market. and because it’s a necessity they can get away with charging much more. it’s a real frustration for us coeliacs.
Well it’s tougher to make things that taste good/ have the expected texture when they’re gluten free. Plus, some specialty ingredients necessary to make a good gluten free food can cost more. Thankfully, with the recognition of gluten intolerance, the market for gluten free food is actually increasing. Also: I LOL’d.
OMG. I LOVE this blog charlie! Kudos to you man for stickin it out! BTW this one is especially great cause it is just so darn stupid. I think first we need to establish a base. Can they read at all?
Man, I was breaking the bank trying to cover food expenses before that gluten stuff was free…
These girls… Oh, the curse/blessing they’ve been to you, Charlie, ahahaha.
I’d rather not imagine they were six… The Haylie Duff pillow incident would have a totally new meaning if we imagined that the girls were six years old.
You know, I heard that gluten cost you your first born child before they started giving it out for free. Hahaha silly GAM, I can’t believe they didn’t know that.
….how are they still alive? Sometimes I wonder though, is one of them saying more of these things than the other, or is it more of a roommate-soul mate kind of situation?
Wow I can’t believe that the actually said that! I’ve been reading for a long time but this is the first time I’ve commented. Thanks for making my long day better Charlie!
these girls better never work in anything related to food service. i’m a coeliac and in a world of pain if i eat any gluten (as in curled in the foetal position world of pain) so i seriously worry about how well informed waiters and cooks are.
I have my own food allergies, so I can definitely relate. The idea that that these girls even know what a job is, is a scary thought. I mean, I first came across GAM over a year ago-they are pretty ridiculous. Which is why I keep coming back.
Sorry, Charlie. Its to be amazed by their stupidity and not just for your comments.
What I want to know about these girls is… How do they shop? Like… Do they just go to the store and throw everything in their cart that looks good, and then just hand over a credit card or wad of cash and, like… just expect the cashier to take care of it for them?
Well seeing that daddy’s money already pays for a maid, they either have someone shop for them or more likely eat out/have takeaways for every meal. GAM cooking is a scary thought.
“OMG, CLAIRE! My nail came off while I was cooking! We HAVE to fix this, RIGHT NOW.” Then, they’d go off to the salon with the oven on. Luckily, Charlie would be their hero, as he smelled something burning (Though, he knew they left with the oven on in the firstplace), grabbed the nearest fire extinguisher, and saved the whole place! : D
You know, a lot of these comments sound like they’re joking with each other – messing around with each other. Since no context is given, it could be either way, right?
hahaha. Love it.
The funny things is food with out gluten cost more because it’s harder to make

I for one would like to hear you try to explain it! Ha! Or at least be there when someone tells them!
Are they really that dumb?
I’m afraid I can’t tell you that, GAM.
dyou really have to ask?:)
sorry i ment do you
Hahah! I wanna know!
Btw hi Charlie! :)
Hello!
This one I had to read twice. I can’t believe you’re not making up this shit! This is impossible. I can’t believe they really exist!
OMG. I LOVE this blog charlie! Kudos to you man for stickin it out! BTW this one is especially great cause it is just so darn stupid. I think first we need to establish a base. Can they read at all?
Thanks for reading!
How often does one say something and the other corrects her?
I’ve Wondered that as well.
Hahahaha. Wow, I love this one! The girls have reached a new high in the GAM charts.
Do they ever wonder the same thing about fat-free products?
*shaking head* I actually pity these poor girls…
Man, I was breaking the bank trying to cover food expenses before that gluten stuff was free…
These girls… Oh, the curse/blessing they’ve been to you, Charlie, ahahaha.
I definitely used to think fat-free stuff had some kind of discount… when i was like six. Let’s just pretend the GAM are six.
I’d rather not imagine they were six… The Haylie Duff pillow incident would have a totally new meaning if we imagined that the girls were six years old.
This comment absolutely MADE my night. Thank you! :D

Haha! Another day another laugh! Love you, Charlie. <3

You’re not alone. This question has been asked many times before. To answer it, they’re both equally as dumb.
Wow I can’t believe that the actually said that! I’ve been reading for a long time but this is the first time I’ve commented. Thanks for making my long day better Charlie!
Welcome to the GAM Family!
Bahahaha! Hmmmm, I guess that means they don’t have allergies or they’d understand.
Does anyone think it’s sad that, every morning when I turn on my laptop, my first though is ‘I wonder if Charlie’s posted?’
Nope, not sad, I check at least once a day :)
Hahah. Since I’m on the other side of the world, that’s my last thought before I turn off my laptop to go to sleep.

I don’t think that they will work, ever.
This is exactly why I never eat out. I can’t trust that waiters and cooks will make my food the way I need it to be for my allergies.
This blog a) reminds me why I don’t live in LA anymore, b) kinda makes me miss living in LA and c) almost made me choke on my glass of wine. You win.
Beats me choking on my Capri-Sun :P

GAM cooking? Didn’t they set a casserole on fire once?
Ah, yeah. Makes sense.

this can not be real life.. i refuse to believe it.
They’ll be ecstatic when they see foods with “Fat free” or MSG free”
YOU TOTALLY MADE THIS ONE UP!!!
But honestly, this is not weirder than the “Obama’s been found dead in Iraq”.
It’s sweet that Gluten (free) products have finally reached the GAM. Got curious – do McDonalds have gluten free bread in the US?
No fucking way.
Gluten costs an arm and a leg. Gluten free costs an arm, leg, and eye. Ask me how I know… Sigh.
