How can she not know how to spell a word if she’s looking at it?

This reminds me of how people write happy birthday comments on facebook and then totally spell the person’s name wrong. *shakes head*
If you’re on a cell phone the name usually isn’t shown on the wall post section, so this is kinda understandable

This reminds me of when I was in grade school and I would ask how to spell a word when my teacher would reply, “Look it up.” How is that helpful?
My teacher said that to me in grade 3. The word I wanted to spell: pneumonia. Yeah, I could have used a little more than “look it up” to get me started. I’ll never forget her, and that hour wandering through the “N” section.
My 2nd grade teacher did that- I was trying to figure out how to spell “daughter”- she told me to use the dictionary. I didn;t know how to find it and she yelled at me for looking in the wrong section D:
Hopefully she learned after that…
My middle school English teacher would always spell “dictionary” when someone asked how to spell a word…until I asked her how to spell dictionary.
Is it bad that it took me a few seconds to get this?

I frequently do brainless things like that before realising and smacking myself in disgust.
Such as pulling on a door that tells me to push.
If I had a dollar (or euro, rather) every time I’ve pulled on a door where the sign says “PUSH”, I could retire early. ;)
But my brain hasn’t quite deteriorated to the point where I wonder how to spell a word I’m looking at… yet. :P
Well see, she’s a GAC, so she WON’T realize that she’s pointing right at the word spelled correctly and smack herself in disgust like you do.
What if she were pointing to a word that was already spelled incorrectly and the one chick was asking the other for help?
