Urr… Bedbugs can travel through walls… You need to tell those girls they need to have their place fumigated and quickly.
Indeed… you should probably also tell the landlord. Bed bug infestations are hard to get rid of (only a heat bomb or freezing ALL your stuff below a certain temp for several days will destroy the eggs) and indicative of a truly filthy lifestyle.

Actually, bedbugs are absolutely NOT indicative of a filthy lifestyle, just that you have a heartbeat. Bedbugs can thrive anywhere from homeless shelters to five star resorts… people in hostels, or neat freak antisocial germophobes.
You can get bedbugs from movie theatres, chairs at coffee shops, clothing stores. Similar to lice.
I’ve dealth with both at completely different times, and neither time was due to uncleanliness whatsoever. I had been at the wrong place at the wrong time.

You know, half the time I think you really love these girls (or would love to sleep with them) and want them to stay. The other half of the time I think you’ll be the one to kill them XD
Bedbugs move horizontally & vertically within an apt building. so if they live above you then you have/will have bedbugs too (sorry)
If you live diagonal from them, you get away scot free.
