Wow. Just…wow. I just want a peek at their calendar. I wonder what a year looks like in their eyes…? 525,600 minutes…unlike the characters in RENT, they probably measure a year in pounds lost rather than love. :P
I feel like they have a seasonal diet calendar. So in March it’s girl scout cookies diet, and then in April they do the April Fool’s diet (when they say they’re eating food, but don’t), May of course is the start of summer so they must go on a cleanse/fast so as to get into their swimsuit bodies, and so on and so forth.
I’m an 18 year old girl scout. :) Asking to buy cookies isn’t creepy at all. The only thought on their minds is: “I NEED TO SELL 500 BOXES FOR THE FREE IPOD.”
Only if you’re only in it for the money, which I’m not. And I would be MORE than happy to sell you some cookies, but Wisconsin is quite a ways away. :( Just wait for them to be at grocery stores.
I would hate that! This is my last year selling, and I’m tempted to have a celebration! (But I will say I’m going to miss have thin mints at my disposal)
The ipod thing is so true! When I was a girl scout I trekked out alone to all the sketchiest neighborhoods my bike could reach just to be the top seller in my area. Going in to strangers houses, walking past growling dogs to get to the door, selling to people who just stopped their cars when they saw my green polyester sash. All good! Being a girl scout is great training for a future as a heroin dealer.
I use to be a girl scout!! Until I moved away from my troop :( can’t find a good one where I live…
I like samoas the best. Then thin mints…
Anyway You’ll never scare a girl scout selling cookies. Unless you act really really creepy. They are only in it for the prizes!
I have no idea what either of those are…it is so confusing when Girl Scout cookies aren’t called the same things everywhere. Like in Nebraska, there aren’t tagalongs, they are called peanut butter patties.
It depends on what baker you have. Little Brownie baker has the good stuff. My council recently switched to ABC Baker, which basically means they’re more expensive and they don’t taste as great. At least they’re still under $4 here. :D
You’ll probably have to wait a bit. If the council out by you is the same as in Southeast Wisconsin, all the cookies being given out are pre-ordered. Once they set up cookie booths at grocery stores and random other places, you can buy them directly. I’m not sure when they would be though–My troop doesn’t sell until April. :/ Otherwise, you could just buy from me snail mail, although I think you’d agree with my discomfort about putting addresses up on the web. xD
FYI Eddy’s makes a Samoa icecream flavor w/ carmel swirl, fudge swirl and chunks of Samoa cookies. Soooooo Yummmmyyyy and the perfect way to get your cookie fix w/o any actual Girl Scout contact.
Dear boys that live below me,
Either stop with your constant parties every single night at 2 am when im trying to sleep, or start inviting me to some of them.
Sincerely, tired for no good reason.
Haha, my best friend is a girl scout. She despises me this time of year cause I hate every sort of girl scout cookie she sells.
I’m picky.
Though, I wish I were a girl scout…instead my dad put me into the Navy League Cadet Corps. I got kicked out for being….not straight.
I used to be a girl scout…. You can trade places with me Charlie :) I have girl scouts come in where I work all the time and try to get me to buy some. Unfortunately I only like thin mints and my husband doesn’t like them at all.
I didn’t buy the box. My teacher brought them to class and everyone was like, “YOU’VE NEVER EATEN A GIRL SCOUT COOKIE? TRY THIS! IT’S LIKE HEAVEN IN A SNACK!” I’m gonna be honest, I would’ve rather eaten some Almond Caramel Clusters.
OMG I was a Camp Fire Girl for 10 years–still have the vest and all of the beads and so on and so forth. LOVED CFG
“As fagots are brought to the fire, firmly held by the sinews that bind them, I will cleave to my Camp Fire Sisters, where ever, whenever, I find them. Be strong as the fagots are sturdy, be pure in your deepest desire;be true to the truth that is in you; And–follow the Law of the Fire.” Not bad after 44 years. God I’m old
Ugh…. You dont know how HARD it is to get the people to deliver! They are always complaining that the death eaters scare the girls! Seriously whats it take to get a dark lord some thin mints around here?!
Well, get one of the she-death eaters to infiltrate the girl scouts so that she can steal the cookies. She’ll deliver them right to you, and you won’t have to pay.
Or you can just imperio any girl scout who delivers to you so that they don’t go around whining.
I know right? However, I can’t even make it to Ralph’s to go order the cookies because I get mobbed by fan girls. Maybe it’s because I actually have a nose (BAM).
Honestly, don’t feel you’re missing out on Wal-Mart and Taco Bell. Both of them are awful in my opinion.
Girl Scout cookies you can be jealous of, but that’s about it. :)
ps I was in the UK not long ago and you have so much we don’t. Like Irn Bru and Prawn Cocktail chips!!
Yeah!! (I’d agree about the cookie bit not so much the others I think?) it’s been fairly fascinating reading these posts – I hadn’t realised it was such a nationwide organised activity/competition, I thought it was just a random thing Americans did from time to time!
I can understand this statement… For example when a weekend of alcoholic beverages and bars is coming up we say that we are gearing up for our “beer diet.” I wonder if this was said in a celebration kind of way, or not.
Also, Charlie if you want cookies just go get them from the GAM! Apparently they have some!
I never was a girl scout, ’cause I’m part of another orginazation. But we don’t sell cookies, so any chance I get I try to bet some. Thin Mints are freaking amazing!
first time commenter we dont have girl scouts or campside girls to sell us thier delicious yummies where i live (northern ireland) but if they did i probably would ve excited XD
Ahhh, nice to know Girl Scouts have such an impact. Unfortunately, I haven’t sold cookies in a few YEARS since I’m a Juliette (a lone Girl Scout) cause my troop pretty much dissolved… :( But my sister’s in a troop, and that’s how we get cookies. I CAN’T EAT ANY THOUGH CAUSE PROM’S IN A MONTH AND I GOTTA FIT IN MY DRESS.
I totally feel you’re pain. One of my teachers daughters is a girl scout, and I ordered some thin mints and peanutbutter patties not realising they’ll get here three weeks before prom, which is just enough time for me to gain enough weight for me not to fit into my dress. :(
The girls almost forgot what this month is about,
Charlie thought March Madness, but then he soon found out,
It’s the month of the Girl Scout Cookie diet, obviously.
These girls are so ditzy that they constantly surprise me.
No thats totally true.
And I would cut a bitch over some samoa cookies.
AND FIRST COMMENT!
YAAAAAAY.
I think I am more excited about that then should be allowed.
Hello I’m a full fledged girl scout with a trunk full of samoas ;)
Me Too!!! It was Samoa’s birthday yesterday, they are thirty-five. :)
I’m a girlscout to! Go highschool GS
samoas are awesome!
Wow. Just…wow. I just want a peek at their calendar. I wonder what a year looks like in their eyes…? 525,600 minutes…unlike the characters in RENT, they probably measure a year in pounds lost rather than love. :P
i bet we could measure the truths that they learned in an entire year on one hand.
RENT = YAY
YES! you eat one a week so they last all year!
I feel creepy buying girl scout cookies. Maybe I’ll go ask GAM for some tagalongs.
If you do, take a video!!
That makes you feel creepy? Aren’t you like the ultimate creeper with this website?
Yes. But I prefer not to be creepy with young girls.
^^^Like!
Ah, that makes more sense. Keep the creepiness legal.
I’m an 18 year old girl scout. :) Asking to buy cookies isn’t creepy at all. The only thought on their minds is: “I NEED TO SELL 500 BOXES FOR THE FREE IPOD.”
Isn’t that kinda like having a lemonade stand when you’re 18? Regardless, I’m all about it! Can I buy some cookies?
Only if you’re only in it for the money, which I’m not. And I would be MORE than happy to sell you some cookies, but Wisconsin is quite a ways away. :( Just wait for them to be at grocery stores.
I would hate that! This is my last year selling, and I’m tempted to have a celebration! (But I will say I’m going to miss have thin mints at my disposal)

I could use some cookies–and I’m in Wisconsin–Where are you?
WOOT! Represent girl!
I use to be a girl scout!! Until I moved away from my troop :( can’t find a good one where I live…
I like samoas the best. Then thin mints…
Anyway You’ll never scare a girl scout selling cookies. Unless you act really really creepy. They are only in it for the prizes!
You could be a Juliette! That’s what I am since I don’t have a troop anymore either.
Yay, tagalongs!
The Girl Scouts honestly don’t care who you are they just want your money. We sell to drunk people all the time.
Tagalongs are my favorite! I’m actually eating them now. Well, them and Thin Mints…..
They really have their priorities sorted, don’t they – i wonder what other gems like this stay on their calender
OH NOOOO! I forgot those cute little girls will be lurking on every corner. :( My REAL diet is officially ruined.
Does this mean eating a lot of girl scout cookies or not eating because they already ate girl scout cookies?
I’m confuzzled too =S Especially since diet can mean restricting yourself on some foods, or actually mean whatever you eat
So is the diet meaning they will only be eating cookies, or that they’re limiting on how much they eat?
Pretty sure it’s an all cookie diet.
Maybe you don’t eat the cookies at all, maybe they eat the actuual girl scouts. D:
Aren’t they afraid they will gain weight if they add a cookie to their daily diet of 3 grapes?
As dumb as they are, they’re still human, girl scout cookies are too good to give up u_u.
So true :)
I cannot wait for the tourney!!! Kansas all the way!!!
Hey now. That’s actually brilliant. Also, as a former girl scout, i can tell you they have stopped selling the best cookies.
Sadly, yes they have :(
All Abouts, Lemon Coolers… Sigh.
I have no idea what either of those are…it is so confusing when Girl Scout cookies aren’t called the same things everywhere. Like in Nebraska, there aren’t tagalongs, they are called peanut butter patties.
OMGOSH! peanut butter patties are awesome! then thin mints. but they both have to be frozen :)
While I was in the scouts, the lemon things were called ole oles
Thin mints are still around.
It depends on what baker you have. Little Brownie baker has the good stuff. My council recently switched to ABC Baker, which basically means they’re more expensive and they don’t taste as great. At least they’re still under $4 here. :D
Yeah, why did they ever stop making them out of real girl scouts?
Maybe parents were starting to complain?
I’m a girl scout! (:
I’m dying to find a girl scout just so when I buy cookies and I’m about to leave, I can say, “Peace out, girl scout.”
Lol, I say that all the time. :)
I do, too! But I’m waiting for the time it’s directed at an actual girl scout.
GO GIRL SCOUTS!
Seems to be a lot of girl scouts here. How do I buy cookies!?
You’ll probably have to wait a bit. If the council out by you is the same as in Southeast Wisconsin, all the cookies being given out are pre-ordered. Holy crap. Hello there, fellow Southeastern Wisconsinite! 8D
…Yeeeah, that’s all I had to say.
WHOOAAAAA, You’re in GSWISE? xDD This is so weird. xDD in a good way. HEY. :D
http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1311&_nkw=girl+scout+cookies&_sacat=See-All-Categories
Umm I’m in Arizona and we have been out in front of Walgreens for weeks.
Charlie I think they are already out in front of grocery stores out here in California, at least they are here in San Diego (Whale’s Vagina)
http://www.girlscouts.org/councilfinder/
you can find a local Council and they will be More than happy to connect you to a local troop.
FYI Eddy’s makes a Samoa icecream flavor w/ carmel swirl, fudge swirl and chunks of Samoa cookies. Soooooo Yummmmyyyy and the perfect way to get your cookie fix w/o any actual Girl Scout contact.
“Girl Scout contact”? o.O
If the Girl Scout cookie diet includes munching on Thin Mints to make you thin, I’m all for it.
Amen.
Charlie, im sure if you asked, they would all send you a box for free :D
oh you just made my day… I so needed that…
and as a female, my first thought would have definitely been March madness… not cookies…
lets see what this starts… ROCK CHALK baby! lol
Oh and today’s National Stuffed Mushroom Day…just in case anyone was wondering.
Pretty sure you missed it by a month. Though any time is a great time for stuffed mushrooms
Did I really? Well that just ruined my day.
Today is also National Grammar Day. Just sayin’.
I was just going to say that!
It is also Employee Appreciation Day.
Yuck! Mushrooms. :(
I was only a daisy scout…. never continued on to be a full fledged girl scout :( I’m quite jealous.
Dear boys that live below me,
Either stop with your constant parties every single night at 2 am when im trying to sleep, or start inviting me to some of them.
Sincerely, tired for no good reason.
i think we found their soulmates <3
haha Dear Blank, Please Blank is awesome!!
heck yes it is!
yay thin mints!
Haha, my best friend is a girl scout. She despises me this time of year cause I hate every sort of girl scout cookie she sells.
I’m picky.
Though, I wish I were a girl scout…instead my dad put me into the Navy League Cadet Corps. I got kicked out for being….not straight.
Mustache March!
Thin Mints FTW! xD
I used to be a girl scout…. You can trade places with me Charlie :) I have girl scouts come in where I work all the time and try to get me to buy some. Unfortunately I only like thin mints and my husband doesn’t like them at all.
I’ve only eaten one girl scout cookie in my life, and I felt like a traitor for doing it. So I never ate one again. xD
(Camp Fire ftw)
Same here! I always felt so guilty for buying Girl Scout cookies when I should have been selling Camp Fire candy. Still feel guilty, actually.

I’ve never had a Girl Scout cookie in my life. NYC :(
I was a girl scout for a while. Now my mom is a Service Unit Director (which means she’s in charge of all the girl scout troops in my area!)
We’ve finished our cookie sales down here in Texas, though. Made my mom save me some because college student has no monies.
Ugh…. You dont know how HARD it is to get the people to deliver! They are always complaining that the death eaters scare the girls! Seriously whats it take to get a dark lord some thin mints around here?!

Ah yes, I shall, for you, my master.
I know right? However, I can’t even make it to Ralph’s to go order the cookies because I get mobbed by fan girls. Maybe it’s because I actually have a nose (BAM).
For once in my life the GAM actually make sense
Sorry
*for once in their life.
I’m going to be in Disney for 4 days starting tomorrow!
So I’ll miss all of your new posts
The U.K. doesn’t have Girl Scouts selling cookies…Once again I feel we’re missing out on something awesome, like Wal-Marts and Taco Bells.
Wait, what?! How do you live without Irn Bru?! I think this is the accompaniment to Alicia’s Sunchips (another thing we dont’t have in the UK) xD
I go to the Scottish Store and buy Irn Bru, that’s how I live. :P
We also don’t have Fanta- don’t know if that’s big for you too?
If I may, seeing as you’re speaking about British things, and I am Scottish, accuracy requires that you call them Prawn Cocktail crisps…….
You guys have ALDI, which is like Wal*Mart but (probably) better. So don’t feel bad. But we’re starting to get ALDIs over here…
Yeah!! (I’d agree about the cookie bit not so much the others I think?) it’s been fairly fascinating reading these posts – I hadn’t realised it was such a nationwide organised activity/competition, I thought it was just a random thing Americans did from time to time!
Someone else from the UK, yay! I was starting to feel a little left out with all this talk of Girl Scout cookies haha. I’d like to try them one day.
…I actually have to agree with them. I got really excited when I saw girl scouts selling cookies on campus the other day.
Although, I didn’t know that they sold them every march specifically, so it’s a little scary that they know this and do it every year.
When I was about 7 I was a girl scout. Someone bought over 30 boxes from me then moved, so I got 30 free boxes because they paid early.
I never was a girl scout, ’cause I’m part of another orginazation. But we don’t sell cookies, so any chance I get I try to bet some. Thin Mints are freaking amazing!
ah yes, gambling with girl scout cookies…..quite common, but not recommended by physicians, especially while on the girl scout cookie diet….
I’ve had girl scout cookies for weeks : ) Yay for pre-ordering!
first time commenter we dont have girl scouts or campside girls to sell us thier delicious yummies where i live (northern ireland) but if they did i probably would ve excited XD
I’m from England too, and was in Scouts but we never sold cookies. Just sat around in cold village halls singing and camped in rainstorms.
*Oops, meant FUTURE dress. Still don’t have one. :/
Hey Charlie! Just wondering if you’d heard anything more about your TV show? Love you! Nina x
Maybe the one girl shouldn’t eat those coockies, if she still wants to fit in the other ones jeans one day..
Hahahaha. So ridiculously funny, and true.
This reminded me that I need to register for the Girl Scout Cookie Fun Run… Yay cookies at the finish line!
The girls almost forgot what this month is about,
Charlie thought March Madness, but then he soon found out,
It’s the month of the Girl Scout Cookie diet, obviously.
These girls are so ditzy that they constantly surprise me.
