Well, if they did, that’s actually something they should get CRED for.
Since that is how it is pronounced here in Japan, where the word comes from. Means “tidal wave” for your information.
For the rest, I would suppose that they simply classify Asia into Asia(Japan), China, India and those countries where women have to wear ugly clothes that cover their body and marry fifty year old men. (note: not my opinion)
When I first read this I thought you were making a joke about the Japanese being in the water so they could be the sushi.
Anyway, Thailand HAS felt a hit from the earthquakes as several reports have shown earthquakes hitting the northern border of Thailand. One article reports that “Thailand is reeling from a series of natural disasters. Earthquakes, Floods, Drought and unseasonal Cold Weather are testing Thailand’s resources to the limit.” Floods and drought would definitely effect the crops in Thailand if they reach them, along with the uncharacteristic temperatures. They also report that flights are suspended and ferries are stopped. In the South region they’re experiencing major floods and in the Northeast there’s a dire drought.
good point well researched, well written, may slightly have missed the point on this one, I think this might be a point about Japan’s glowing seawater.
Yes, but don’t worry, i’ll talk you through.
now, about a month ago, Japan has been hit with a earthquake and tsunami then followed my massive nuclear meltdowns with spewing radiation and such, and it is affecting the food grown in japan, like some soy, rices, tea, and citris fruit and being honest, those are the only 4 foodcrops i know off the top of my head that is grown in japan that isn’t aquatic.
Now, these chicks are pretty ignorant to the rest of the world, and think that it was Thailand that was also involved in this horrible accident (maybe they think thailand is in japan or it is all asian to them or something). Also, they seem to think that thai food only comes from thailand 100%, which it doesnt. Most of the food that is considered “thai” here is not even remotely from thailand…
well, anywho, many people are commenting on this gross ignorance from these girls, connecting it to an earthquake and tsunami accident that happened in Thailand in december of 2004…
get it?
Thai food is not effected by the tsunami in Japan,
The girls don’t know any better, they think they go hand in hand.
How wrong they are now, how wrong they will be, never ceases to amaze,
All the loyal followers of the Dear Girls Above Me craze.
Thailand was hit by an insane flood and more than fifty people died…… A lot of the food got ruined….. Do your research. Now they look like the smart ones and you look like a bimbo
Um, I live in Thailand. Thailand is not Japan. Yes, we did have an earthquake (epicenter was in BURMA/ Myanmar), but we’re alright, and as far as northern Thailand goes, we’ve been having plenty of unseasonal rain. However, we’re going just fine. They can eat as much Thai food as they want. (Btw most Thai food in America is nothing like actual Thai food)

Facepalm.
First?
supposedly…
Fresh
It’s all “Asian” to them.
That does not surprise me at all.
i was going to say this is a slight improvement for them getting the continent right, unlike the hawaii/egypt confusion a few months ago.
Thank goodness they were brought up to think and care about other people besides themselves…
I wonder if they even know that Thai food isn’t from Japan.
Doubtful.
I enjoy them… thank you for gracing us with their ignorance each day. It truly makes my day
I’m glad I can do at least that!
And you should be glad Charlie. You make the days of sooo many people through this blog (including me).
I know four-year-olds that are more aware of what’s going on in Japan than these girls.
Isn’t this a delayed reaction? And since when did the girls get their take out imported from over seas?
food can be grown and sourced in multiple countries? you’re talking crazytalk!
Ummm, well then. On that note . . .
Either they’re several years far too late. Or they have no idea that there are different countries in Asia.
I hope it’s the first one. Then you can tell them the future.
I would expect that they actually pronounced the T at the beginning of ‘tsunami’…
Well, if they did, that’s actually something they should get CRED for.

I say SEA FOOD ALL AROUND!

These reports are all from 2011, by the way. They have nothing to do with the Tsunami that hit Thailand forever ago.
Well defended.

You’ve done it again GAM Defender. Anyways they most likely pronounced it tah-sah-nam-i if they pronounced it wrong.
Sounds like “the tsunami” almost.
im i the only one who doesnt get this ?

Wow, and the award for the longest ever DGAM comment goes to Tobia! That was a pretty thorough explanation xD
It’s been, what, seven years since that tsunami? I think I’ll write a haiku.
Mon Thai is lucky
That not all are as foolish
As the girls upstairs
Uhm…TUH-AYE…JUH-PAN…Yeah, I can see where they got confuzled. O.o
I wonder if they’ll figure it out… I won’t get my hopes up for that one.

Miss you guys!
Haha, awesome as always Alicia:) So glad you’re back, we’ve all missed you too!
Oops, accidentally made a typo with my email address.Although now I really dig having a red icon instead of a blue-green one.
Reading this makes me feel smart. I check everyday to see if they top their own stupidity.
Maybe years later they’ll discover there was a tsunami that hit Japan…
Hey Charlie, do you ever wonder who tells them stuff like this, or do they think of it themselves?
This is completely unrelated but we had to write short novels for my english class and mine is about a cop named Charlie McDowell(:
Wow…there are no words…
What about…
nope
Just let evolution run its course
… Too soon
Sorry Dodos
Thailand was hit by an insane flood and more than fifty people died…… A lot of the food got ruined….. Do your research. Now they look like the smart ones and you look like a bimbo
