Charlie covering his ears
Two annoying girls moved into the apartment above me.
I'm forced to hear every dumb thing they say.
These are my letters to them.

“The verdict is not guilty!? (pause) So, is she going to jail or no?” What’s confusing you, the word “verdict” or “not”?

  1. sissygirl12 says:

yay first! that verdict really ad e mad what would she have to loie about if she wasnt guilty?

  2. Leila says:

…..I’m surprised they even knew about the Casey Anthony case…. That is what they’re talking about, yes?

  3. Charlie McDowell says:

They sorta remind me of a young Casey Anthony.

    • sissygirl12 says:

but she’s 25 how old are these girls? dear god i hope not. but i not sure there smart enough to get away with murder

      • Mindy says:

Neither was Casey Anthony… Think about it, if she was really smart enough on her own to get away with murder, the majority of the country wouldn’t be absolutely convinced that. She did it… It’s like OJ: everyone knows he did it, even though he wasn’t found guilty

  4. Izadora says:

    Probably the word “is”

  5. Ohhonestly says:

It’s a fair question. Yes, she was found not guilty on the major counts, but there is that misleading the police thing. She could still spend time in slam for that.

    • Miss Rose says:

Casey can only get a maximum sentence of four consecutive years for the misdemeanor charges. Considering the fact that she’s already served three years since her arrest, she probably won’t spend much more time behind bars – at most it could be another year. It’s rather pathetic.

  6. I am me says:

Casey Anthony is not going to jail for murder but she can get at most 4 years for lying to the police. But they will subtract her time served from the max of 4 years. She has already served 3. She might spend less than a year in jail.

  7. Kaitlyn says:

Even if she only goes to jail for one year imagine what her fellow inmates are going to do when they found out what she did? I think less then two months until she gets the punishment she deserves.

    • Pie of Chocolate says:

Guilty or not, Casey probably won’t be invited to babysit anytime soon.

  8. Brilliant says:

Yeah, the sad thing is a boy on my Facebook said the same thing…”So just cause the jury said she was innocent doesn’t mean she wont still get jail time, right?”

    • Jaimie says:

She was found “not guilty” but that’s way different from being innocent

      • Brilliant says:

Yeah, that’s not what I said, that’s what the guy on my facebook said, ergo the quotes.

  9. Jamie Lynn says:

Figures that they would watch that crap. You’re smarter than to watch it right Charlie? Please say yes…

    • Charlie McDowell says:

      Ummm……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. yes?

    • Lizzzzzz says:

I dont want to start a fight, but im just gonna say i understand there point of veiw in paying attention to it. Its something big happening in our society right now. Its also kinda fascinating because theres the whole “for murder it has to be proved within a reasonable doubt” and wether they jury would find a bigger then reasonable doubt to keep her from going to jail. Also, it just is a question of wether the fact she was a mother would come into her sentence if she was found guilty. A lot of society thinks that mothers shouldnt get death penalty, so that was a big question. So, i see the appeal.

      • Jamie Lynn says:

I guess it’s just because I live in Orlando and I’m just so sick of hearing about it. It’s seriously everywhere.

      • jen says:

ok, fine, they couldnt prove her guilty of murder. i have issues with that, but we are going to set that to the side for now.

But she was found not guilty of child abuse? How is not reporting your 3 year old child missing for what was it, 30 days? 60? I know it was an insanely unreasonable amount of time, not child abuse?!?!

    • Laura says:

      I live in Orlando too!
Appearently, some people want our whole city to feel ashamed of itself. It’s annoying -__-

    • Brooke says:

“That crap?” You might not like it because it’s all that you hear about, but that doesn’t make it crap. Dare I say it, some people might be interested in court cases that are possibly law-changing and have the interest of the entire nation. I’m sure you probably didn’t watch the O.J case either, huh, Jamie Lynn? Becoming infamous for committing first degree murder and walking away not guilty, yes, why waste your time watching THAT history be made?

  10. Lonely Girl says:

This sort of thing is why I don’t watch the news anymore.

  11. Joyfulness says:

I’m glad the jury found her not guilty. Now I know if I want to get away with murder ever, All I have to do is go to Orlando.

p.s. She’s been in jail for 3 years and hasn’t gotten her ass kicked yet, I doubt they are going to now. She disgusts me.

    • Laura says:

Ok, I’m from Orlando, and those comments really annoy me. She was found not guilty under NATIONAL laws. It’s innocent until proven guilty, and there was reasonable doubt.
Just know, now she can’t have a normal life. Where ever she goes people will be wispering, talking, asking her questions. It won’t be normal.
Also, would you rather put let guilty people free or keep innocent people in jail?

      • Amy says:

Um, I’d rather have an innocent man wrongly incarcerated than a guilty man walking free, free to kill again.

      • Laura says:

Ok, then we’re just going to have to agree on that one. Just remember that if you or a loved one is wrongly accused of murder.

    • Mindy says:

Come to San Francisco or Berkeley instead…way more peoe have been found not guilty who clearly were…besides, look at OJ we got him eventually right?

  12. Rosie says:

Ugh, how can they find her not guilty? She went out and PARTIED after the found HER DAUGHTER dead.

    • Lemondish says:

Sadly, this is not illegal. Immoral, perhaps, disgusting even, but justice is meant to be blind in this regard.

  13. aisforRandom.blogspot.com says:

maybe they were raised in North Korea?

  14. Random Punmaster says:

A cloth maker’s daughter told him she was too young to dye.

How is she not guilty? I think there was enough evidence.. .__.

    • Liz says:

i think the problem was that the prosecutor went for capital punishment instead of manslaughter. i understand why–there was evidence of premeditation, since she googled chloroform, but a lot of the evidence was circumstantial (who’s to say that she was the one who ran the search?).

that said, i think that she is guilty.

      • Random Punmaster says:

Is it bad that I didn’t understand most of what you said? xD

      • Brilliant says:

I agree Liz, I also think if there had been some sort of lesser charge of negligence things would be different, but there just wasn’t enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt for murder in the first.

      • Pie of Chocolate says:

It’s all good, random punmaster. The problem was the prosecutor was trying to give Anthony the death penalty because there was evidence she planned to kill her daughter in advance. Instead, he should have tried to convict her of accidentally or thoughtlessly killing Caylee.

      • Melissa T says:

Thank you, Liz! I have been saying this for ages. The burden of first degree murder was just too high, and the prosector should have taken that into consideration. I agree that a lesser charge, even second degree or manslaughter would have been able to use the circumstantial evidence to meet the burden of proof. This is a sad loss for those in the justice system… although her defense attorney did a hell of a job in summation.

    • Macy says:

      You’re brilliant.

  15. Dwezel1987 says:

Karma will run her over… Or Dogma will bite her in the ass.

  16. Lovesick Leopard says:

Wow, I’m suprised they put in the effort to know what’s going on in the world. “A” for effort……..”F” for comprehension.

  17. Jess says:

I’m just sick of the whole drama. I’m even more sick that Casey Anthony got away with murder. But this post, it’s just hysterical. I love it! Don’t ever stop eavesdropping, Charlie :)

  18. Hannah Nicole says:

This whole case is stupid… And I agree with Jess. Never stop eavesdropping! But I wonder what will happen if they find this site? haha

  19. Emmy says:

I feel like as soon as Casey’s out on her own, someone’s gonna find her and give her a little payback, whether she really deserves it or not.

  20. Manda says:

She may have been found not guilty by the jury, but there are many people who believe she did it. When you’re a public enemy, things don’t always end pretty.

  21. Diana says:

Now some jury member is regretting the decision. 1: too late. 2: probably only because of what she’s seen on the news. she doesn’t want people to hate her too, for making her not guilty.

  22. Jillian says:

I think a lot of people are confused on this one, for many different reasons.

  23. Handsome Rebecca says:

I literally stumbled upon this site. It’s great. Each new post I pray that they discover this website. That’d be like in LOST when you found out Jack and Kate were actually off the island and it’s all been a flash forward. But better. Literally. This website is better than 4 seconds of that shit show. And Dexter. This beats Dexter by a landslide. I don’t care if he ever gets caught, but I wait on pins and needles to find out if you will.

  24. Handsome Rebecca says:

oh and this site is absolutely hilarious too. You should write a film.

  25. GAM Defender says:

She might have been proved to be not guilty for the murder, but go to jail for child abuse.

  26. Alex says:

I’m just going to take it that this is something going on in America that we Aussies (meaning I) don’t know about. However I believe it was the whole sentence that confused her, Charlie. Too many big words.

  27. Kylie says:

I’m proud to say I have only the most limited knowledge of the whole event and that I didn’t follow the case. What I know is only due to my grandma ranting about it.

  28. Robert says:

She’s the OJ of this decade…

  29. musicgurl says:

well, it’s over, stop going on about it?

Yes, she should be doing more jail time, but that’s not our concern.
we should be more concerned if that she has more children, they end dead as well some time in the future.

    • Ohhonestly says:

Of course they’re going to end up dead. We’re all going to end up dead. I expect what you meant was, if they end up *prematurely* dead of non-natural causes.

  30. U.N.Owen says:

On a slightly related note, did the GAM manage to get out of jury duty, Charlie(I do recall them trying to get out of some jury duty)? More importantly do you have any details about that case?

  31. Macy says:

    1. I’m kinda impressed the GAM were actually up to date with the whole Casey Anthony thing, even if they can’t figure out what “not guilty” means.
    2. While Casey Anthony may or may not have actually killed her daughter, she should have reported her missing sooner, and not have hidden the body. If anything, she should be charged with child abuse and neglect, on top of lying to the police and hindering the investigation.

  32. David says:

Charlie, if these girls eve move to a new apartment, you HAVE to follow them!

  33. musicgurl says:

    ^agreed

  34. Louisa says:

I’m thinking the word that confused her was ‘guilty’.

And I just had to google this to even know what the Casey Anthony case was (i’m in the U.K though) so points to the GAM’s for keeping up with the news.

    • Ohhonestly says:

That’s odd. I know the BBC website covered it. Not, mercifully, as extensively as US ‘news’ sites covered it, but I’d been reading (headlines) about it on BBC pretty much all along.

  35. Sarah Arthur says:

The silver lining of this verdict??? Any minute now Nancy Grace is going to go so balistic she will implode upon herself forming a black hole that will suck in all the other hyper-hysterical broadcast ‘journalists’. (I’m looking at you Glen Beck)

  36. llamalicious says:

Well, the girls are actually right to ask. She *was* sentenced to a year in prison even after the “not guilty” verdict. We’re laughing our asses off from a fail they didn’t commit. For shame, sir.

  37. That girl there says:

My birthday post! I’m on GAM’s side casey anthony supposedly”not guilty”, but she should be in jail…

  38. Super!…

Simply because i love your posts i thought i would show my appreciation by making a comment. Thanks alot for the great times you give :)…

  39. Your post…
