You really should practice that acccent. And get a good british one too in case they wanna ask Kate Middleton or Posh Spice something. Hahaha.
There is no such thing as a British accent. Britain is all the UK not just England. I would be interested to hear what a Scotish/English/Irish/Welsh accent would sound like.
I guess that means there’s no such thing as an American accent, due to there being Ebonics, Spanglish, and standard English. Or Australian and New Zealand due to the Aborigines and Maori (respectively) vs standard.
Actually, Ireland isn’t part of the UK. And there are so many different accents in Ireland that really, there’s no such thing as a true ‘Irish’ accent.
But these are separate countries with distinct accents. They’re the facts, you can’t go changing that. And only part of Ireland is independent of Britain. Saying that there is no such thing as an Australian accent is silly, there is, and it’s not like the Aboriginal people live in their own country with a near different language.
Actually “Britain” merely composes of Scotland, England, and Wales. The United Kingdom is another designation for that area entirely, which includes ONLY Northern Ireland (remember, North and South Ireland are two different countries!). Basically they English are complicated MFers and wanted to confuse everyone else @_@
