I wonder if they are attempting to play Mad Libs…
I’m fairly certain I first learned about adjectives when I was in first grade- and every year after that. I feel sorry for these girls sometimes.
Charlie- you should really slide a Schoolhouse Rock video under their door. They sound desperate.
uhhh i’m have 3rd graders in a special education class that know what an adjective is. perhaps they’ve had too much plastic injected into their brains?
You can never have too much plastic injected into your brain! Like me! I have at least 20 pounds of plastic in my brain and I still know what an adjective is!
What I want to know is what’s 2+2? 9, right? I swear it was 9 last week.
…well, not too surprising, considering people don’t really teach that much grammar in school. The english language is spoken and people know where to use an adjective, noun or preposition simply because ‘it feels right’.
Hello from Costa Rica!! How is it that these girls haven’t found out about the letters? WOW, I’m loving them. Its almost painful to read what they say but you can’t stop!!
And…I will add that if you’re graduating from high school and do not know what an adjective is…its time to do some of your own research; not blame the system (even though it f#%&s with us all at some point). Its ok not to know (better: let’s say forget); its not ok to be aware that you don’t know and do nothing about it.
Hello!, I’ve gone ahead and bookmarked your page on Facebook so my friends can see it too. I just used your blog title as the entry in my bookmark, as I figured if it is good enough for you to title your blog post that, then you probably would like to …
Firstt!!
Their stupidity never stops amazing me
Holy shit, I appear to be the first commenter… What to say, what to say…
Ah!
They need to review their Schoolhouse Rock!
Darn, it took me too long to think of something…
Yet I stand firm in my refusal to post “first” without a comment at least somewhat worthy.
It was a lovely attempt.
Thank you so much Charlie!
I’m starting to wonder what the highest level of education they managed to obtain is…
‘Tis quite ironic.
Not that high school is very good education, but they really should know better…

please
Why does everyone make a big deal about being “first” to comment on the internet?
Probably because it’s awesome.
So true! awesome, and it hardly ever happens!

*i
it’s been a long week.
Forgiven, you are.

It’s 1972, right?
These (plural noun) are (adverb)(adjective). If only they (past tense verb) their (noun), they would be (adjective)!
I’m sad to say that I’m in grade 12 and I don’t know what a adjective is.
and that is a FAIL for the education system in america…..
Actually I’m from Canada, so its Canadian education that’s failing :P
But still, :)
This should clear that up:

I’m from Canada and I know what an adjective is..
and for some reason I can’t reply to Emalee’s post
Ya, I just never paid attention when we learnt grammar. Or if I did, I forgot it after the test.
in that case it’s your memory failing, not the education system
Well… Canada IS America.
oh hey! we never think of it, but SO TRUE! so is Brasil, so you
can be Brazilian, and american!
I’m sad to say that I’m in grade 12 and I don’t know what an adjective is…
A describing word, they were describing how stupid they are/were by not know what adjective (describing word) means
God loves irony. :)
edit: They were describing how stupid the word adjective is, by the time I read the replies, my memory had failed me on the sentence.
So, I just realized that this was my birthday post! Yay!
Happy birthday!

They seem to use a lot of things they don’t know of….
Hahahaha! Have they really not found out about this yet?
I’m just going to put this out there….if they don’t know adjectives they are so not capable of understanding irony!
But the rest of us still can!
