Charlie covering his ears
Two annoying girls moved into the apartment above me.
I'm forced to hear every dumb thing they say.
These are my letters to them.

  1. shannon says:

to be fair, what kind of nail salon goes by military time?

    • Charlie McDowell says:

I’m on board with you here.

      • Taylor says:

The stylist used the European 24 hour clock system not military time. So technically it’s their future European trip that’s crossed out. Gotta brush up on your facts there Charlie:)

      • Melissa says:

Taylor, thanks for the clarification. Now I can totally see how using a Eurpean 24 hour clock system is completely different from using military time.

      • Taylor says:

Melissa, I agree there’s not much difference between the two and I wasn’t trying to be what your sarcasm states.I was just pointing out that it’s understandable and funny how the lady’s probably European and just hasn’t shaken off using that time system rather than using military time for some odd reason. Although the military is something the GAM should stay out of completely,as well as foreign countries.

      • Louisa says:

Lol, I was like…yeah I was taught that in school at 6 years old WTH.

  2. lja says:

what on earth does telling time have to do with autism?!

  3. Shaylah says:

They know what the word autistic means, and even know how to use it in a sentence?

  4. Bellatrix Lestrange says:

you should have already crossed out military future bud. no one in their right mind would give those two weapons

  5. Walking in a Winter Wonderland says:

Pinch punch, First day of the month, and no returns…HA!

  6. trendywendy says:

Charlie, what are you getting the girls for Christmas? Or is it Hannukah.

  7. Professor McGonagall says:

They would say 16 hundred hours not 16 o clock but still…

    • Rachel says:

Unless the girl at the nail salon was from a country that uses the 24 hour clock. Then they could say 16 o clock. Because it would be an attempt to translate the method you know for telling time into the US standard for saying times.

    • Taylor says:

You guys are both right. I remember having to learn how to use the 24 hour clock to tell time in German class, which adds to why I’m glad I’m done with high school.

      • Professor McGonagall says:

        Just subtract 12…

      • Taylor says:

It was easy to learn it, but unfortunately our teacher thought it was a good idea to do tons of assignments and tests involving conversations about what time it is for whatever in German, so you can imagine that class got to be pretty annoying and boring at times.

  8. Doctora Gonzo says:

they probably meant dyslexic, not autistic

  9. Bonzai says:

Must resist urge to tell racist joke about North Koreans…

  10. Carl says:

This is not funny at all.

  11. Sarah says:

I’m wondering if you’ve developed any kind of involuntary twitch after listening to the dvd menu for “27 Dresses”.

  12. Lord Voldemort says:

Wow. This girls just keep getting smarter and smarter

  13. Sirius Black says:

My deepest sympathies for having to live within hearing distance of these two.. Although it would be quite amusing to listen to their “drama’s”

  14. StarOfDavid says:

    Happy Hanukkah!

  15. Ophelia says:

Did anyone consider that maybe the woman was just being jokey? Jeez. No need for a big debate about military time…

  16. Michael says:

Of all the things they say, you can isolate each one and dismiss their shortcomings. However, by perusing through the page history, the truth outs.

  17. Kailey says:

I slightly want to slap these two girls for lacking any sort of intelligence. I must say, their stupidity keeps me entertained though. :]

  18. Louisa says:

Do Americans not use the 24 hour clock?

  19. Alicia says:

Louisa, the only people who really actually use 24 hour clocks in the U.S. are in the military. Otherwise, the average American clock is only 12 hours. I’m just curious, what country do you live in?

    • Louisa says:

England, we use both 12 hour and 24 hour though, both methods are used fairly interchangeably. Though official things are more in 24 hour, like my lecture timetables and train tickets.

  20. Audrey says:

I teach English in France and let me tell you that it’s very complicated for my students to understand the 12 hour clock system! Even more when they have to say the time using the British way!

  21. Matt says:

    Is that what autistic means?

  22. Silence says:

Autism is a neurological disorder in which understanding social aspects is hard while intelligence levels are higher than average. Some never learn social aspects, but will be geniuses while others learn social aspects quickly, but not have intelligence as high as more severe cases. It all depends on the severity. There are other factors too, but that’s the basis. Sorry if it’s too confusing, but Autism is kind of hard to explain.

  23. Métis says:

I was confused before I realized you don’t use the 24-hour clock system in America. I feel a bit stupid.

  24. Jane says:

You guys are mean, if she is autistic, then don’t make fun of her! Yes, it is the 24 hour clock so why is that funny, she got it right.
